11 Senators defect to APC

Eleven Senators elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party this morning defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). This is stated in a letter signed by Alhaji Lai Mohammed, APC interim publicity seceretary.

Issues, tension, intrigues as House resumes

Members of the House of Representatives will face an avalanche of touchy and thorny issues as they resume today. Talks about the sack of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership of the House reached a crescendo immediately after 37 members of the ruling party defected to opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) on December 18, 2013 just a day before the House rounded off last year.

Don’t be deceived, Obasanjo is PDP, and PDP is Obasanjo

This is why anyone who believes Obasanjo and Jonathan are really at war does not understand strategy.  Were they truly to go to war, the PDP would certainly surrender the presidency, and many of the thieves who run the PDP would go to jail.  Mr. Jonathan may not appreciate this nightmare but Obasanjo fully does.  He knows where he does not want to spend his final days.

Bayelsa CLO condem Orkar 24year jail term.

 The Bayelsa State chapter of the Civil Liberties Organisation, CLO, however condemned the 24-year jail term. Describing Okah’s sentence as a conspiracy between the Nigerian and South African governments, state Chairman of CLO, Chief Nengi James, told National Mirror in an interview in Yenagoa that he was grateful that the freedom fighter did not bag a life sentence.
